Having it All: Our futures depend on what we do in the present

Here I am, a participant in John Assaraf's 'Having it all challenge'.
This is an online course that lasts for six months where each participant commits to take the challenge. The challenge being to have every area in their lives 'full', functioning and joyous.

I work a lot online as well as in person so this was an easy choice. There are around 100 people involved from all walks of life and countries all over the globe.

We have a community board and all have access to each other and there is a lot of networking and brainstorming goals going on. There is also a massive amount of encouragement from the participants to each other. Basically everyone wants to contribute and help others in their own unique way.
We have webinars and calls around once a week during these months where John invites guests and specialists in each different area or theme of the month. We've covered financial and are on spirituality and health now.

During the course I have watched people involved and myself go through some resistences to change and most, I am happy to say are blossoming and growing.

Personally, I have found my commitment growing simply by signing and promising myself to follow the course from beginning to end. Granted there were times I wanted to run, but this is a familliar habit from my past and I can see it clearly now rather than be caught in that trap.

In my work or contribution to the world I deal with thousands of people who want some situation in their lives to change or transform. What I have noticed is most of these clients want their partners, friends or loved ones to do it differently. They come to find out 'will he change', 'will she change' and 'when will we be happy'? Naturally that is entirely dependent on their actions behaviours and thoughts in the present in order to change their futures.
As I've committed to my own growth so I find my clients are finding it easier to commit to theirs. This was a process happening before this challenge and yet I can see myself celebrating more in my own life and therefore for the lives of my clients.

In plain terms the spiritual law that we are all 'one' is clear and present and more obvious. The people in my life are a clear mirror and reflection of different parts of my psyche. Sure they are 'individual' unique but they show me at any given point where I am at.

We've been shown scientifically how our brains work and how they respond or react to change or growth. I have found this part of the course very inspiring as I'd often looked at life from a spiritual perspective and am heartened to see that science pretty much backs up what I had intuited to be true.

There is a LOT to be said for bringing a large group of people together to encourage and grow in their lives in this format. So I find myself grateful for the wisdom and planning behind this course. As the group of participants transform, so too does the team behind the challenge.

I love to stretch myself and expand through limited thinking and habits to positive thinking and action. We can't expect different results from thinking and doing things the same way that didn't bring us the desired results.
